After the success of Apache RTR 160 FI, TVS Motor Company, the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer of India has today launched its another stunning bike, "Apache RTR 160 RD" in 160cc segment to strenghten their position in premiem segment bike market in India with its stylish and sporty looks. The "RD" stands for the Rear Disc. The Apache RTR 160 RD comes with the factory fitted, petal shaped 200mm rear disk brake. The rear disc brake version of Apache RTR, called the Apache RTR 160 RD is available at the nominal premium charge of Rs. 2000/- over the existing rear drum brake version.

This new bike is the advanced version of existing Apache, which is embedded with the fuel injected engine and the petal shaped, 200mm rear disck brake. This new bike, Apache RTR 160 RD has a 159.7cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, EFI engine with a 5 speed gearbox which generates 15.7 Bhp power at 8500 rpm. and 12.8 Nm torque at 6500 rpm. This new Apache is equipped with the advanced EFI(Electronic Fuel Injection) technology which employs the electronic control unit which is combined with the sensors, fuel pump and a main injector. The new EFI technology of this bike offers the great power, accelaration and performance to the rider.

The launch of this new bike, TVS Apache RTR 160 RD has added an another stunner in the Indian motorcycle market. The Apache RTR 160 RD features a new digital(LCD) speedometer, stylish alloy wheels, classical silencer, larger fuel tank, naked chain cover, 200mm petal shaped rear disk break and a racing GT stripe which runs across the length of the bike which makes this bike a complete sporty and eye catching machine.

This new model of TVS, Apache RTR 160 RD comes up with a digital dashboard - LCD speedometer, trip meters, clock, odometer and an analogue tachometer, service and battery indicator which indicates the low battery charge and service if due. Its digital dashboard also includes the data logging feature as in race bike which show the lap time between 0-60 and top speed indicators. This bike also added the features like alloy footpegs and a supportive seat for a sporty and comfortable riding position.

The price of this new bike of TVS is Rs. 67000.00 (Ex-showroom New Delhi) which might stand this bike in competition with the new Yamaha bike FZ16. Further, a muscular frame, sporty front and rear view and its performance makes it a must buy bike in its segment.
