Yamaha India launched its another super sports bike in 1000cc segment. This new bike is YZF R1 which is aimed to target the super bike lovers with its power and sporty look. Yamaha already stormed the Indian motorcycle market by launching its previous motorcycle, YZF R15 and FZ16 in 150cc segment and now it turn its eyes to the super bike market of India.

The new Yamaha YZF R1 has a 998cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with a 6 speed gearbox. The 998cc engine of this bike produces 180 PS power at 12,500rpm. and 112.7 Nm torque at 10,000rpm. The 998cc power plant of this bike provides it a great acceleration to touch the mark of 60 Mph(96 Kmph) speed in just 3.0 seconds and make it able to break the barrier of 290 Kmph. YZF R1 is the first motorcycle launched in Indian motorcycle market which has the true supersport image and features.
